Going back in time…

“It was in 2005, when I was just 13, that I was initially enchanted by the brand’s magical power. This revelation dawned upon me after a detailed observation of my female schoolmates’ confidence when wearing an Italian shoe brand.

Intrigued by this behavior, I tried this shoe after one year of collecting $35–2005 currency–from my pocket money because my parents couldn’t afford it. To my surprise, despite the material resembling my prior lower-priced shoes, this Italian shoe brand successfully made me feel transformed into a new identity and part of my friends’ tribe–unlike my old shoe brand.

My 13-year-old’s eyes sparkled: “Wow! Imagine if Indonesian product owners understood brand concepts! More proud users will increase product sales and put us in the big leagues globally, right?”

The younger me sensed a strong faith that brands would have a huge influence on lifestyles in the future. The excitement then sparked a vision to help Indonesian enterprises evolve into brands. I then craved self-learning branding from TVC, billboards, and other corporate brand identities–when social media wasn't even a thing.”

God is great. Our founder's vision is becoming something that happens. After 7 years of self-taught perseverance and 2.5 years working with Indonesia's top brand expert, she founded Aruppa in 2015 and has helped Indonesian businesses, public figures, and non-profits.

It is also happening now. Consumers have been experiencing heightened levels of brand consciousness, and business owners are now realizing the urgency of building brands. Thanks to social media.
